Tenways Introduces the AGO Air Belt Drive Edition
Tenways has unveiled the AGO Air Belt Drive edition, a new and refined variant in the trekking e-bike segment, retailing at £2,299. Designed to meet the growing demand for trekking-oriented electric bicycles, this model broadens the AGO Air range, featuring improved frame geometry for a more relaxed riding position, enhancing comfort over extended journeys.
The AGO Air Belt is among the first models to leverage Tenways’ latest mid-motor technology. This innovative central drive system delivers consistent power, whether facing headwinds, tackling steep inclines, or carrying heavy loads. It boasts an impressive torque output of 80Nm, facilitated by a responsive torque sensor that adjusts support based on pedal pressure, ensuring you receive optimal assistance when navigating challenging terrains.
Equipped with a 561.6Wh removable battery, the AGO Air provides a remarkable range of up to 100 km under ideal conditions. Strategically integrated into the frame, the battery maintains a sleek profile while allowing easy removal for convenient charging indoors. A Smart LCD Display offers essential ride data at a glance, optimizing the riding experience.
From a practicality perspective, the AGO Air is fitted with a MIK-compatible rear carrier that can support loads of up to 25 kg, making it suitable for commuting, errands, and leisurely weekend rides.
On the drivetrain front, this edition transitions to a Gates CDX carbon belt drive, combined with an internal Shimano Nexus 5-speed gear hub. This design not only streamlines key components but also significantly reduces maintenance needs. Internal cable routing and an integrated design serve to protect essential elements from the elements, enhancing long-term reliability.
